Road Emergencies
Strong Residents if you have any after hours roads emergency please call 705-840-0360. Make sure you leave a detailed message, with the road(s) location, along with your contact information. The after hours phone is regularly monitored and a call back to customers can be performed, once the emergency has been assigned to public works staff.

Time is running! Trailer owners take advantage of the early pricing for trailer permits, submit your annual fees before April 1st.
Please be advised that the Township of Strong is implementing load restrictions and enforcing them all township roads effective of March 13, 2025, when signs are in place.

The municipalities of Sundridge, Strong, and Joly are exploring the potential benefits and challenges of amalgamating into one municipality.
From July 2023 to the end of December 2025, all municipalities in Ontario will transition their blue box program to a new collection model. Under the new model, the companies that produce blue box materials will be required to fully fund and operate the recycling system.
Household Hazmat Dates
May 24th and August 23rd from 10 am until 2 pm hosted by ARI at the Township of Strong Landfill Site1 - 483 Forest Lake Road, Sundridge. Please enter the Strong Landfill Site using Inlet Creek Road to dispose of hazmat items.
