Landfill Site 2 Closure

August 10, 2026 - NOTICE
Landfill #2 at 950 Muskoka Road will be CLOSED on Wednesday, August 12 and Thursday, August 13. Please make a plan to take waste to Landfill #1 at 483 Forest Lake Road on Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
We apologize for the inconvenience this may cause.

Don't assume...make sure you are on the 2026 Voters List!
With the transition from MPAC to Elections Ontario for administration of this year’s Municipal Election, residents are strongly encouraged to confirm that they are included on the voters list and that their mailing address information is current and accurate.
The shift to Elections Ontario managing the municipal voters list means that all voter registration, updates, and corrections now go through Elections Ontario — not the municipality or MPAC. The municipality no longer builds the voters’ list from MPAC data.
Seasonal and cottage property owners must register through Elections Ontario.
Check the voters list today, don't wait to find out on voting day!

Road Conditions

(June 11, 2026) Machar Strong Boundary Road is OPEN. With continued rain and high water, please drive with caution.  

South Lake Bernard Road at the Pool Lake outlet is open with one lane only until further notice.

The Public Works Department are continuing to do work, so we ask that you please use caution, adhere to signage and barriers, and watch out for staff and equipment.

The next household hazmat day is Saturday, August 22nd from 10 am until 2 pm hosted by ARI at the Township of Strong Landfill Site1 - 483 Forest Lake Road, Sundridge. Please enter the Strong Landfill Site using Inlet Creek Road to dispose of hazmat items.Strong Landfill Hazmat Directional Map

Do not exit your vehicle, other than to open your trunk if required for the volunteers to remove household hazardous items.

No loitering, please!

Collection is not permitted from any commercial or industrial entity!!
