Sundridge-Strong-Joly Arena undertakes significant capital upgrades thanks to Ontario government grant

WHAT - On Friday October 30th at 1:00 p.m., Parry Sound-Muskoka MPP Graydon Smith will be at the Sundridge-Strong-Joly (SSJ) Arena to celebrate their receipt of an Ontario government grant funded through the Ontario Trillium Foundation (OTF) to upgrade the main entrance, electrical and heating infrastructure of the SSJ Arena in Sundridge.
Sharon Smith, Councillor for the Village of Sundridge, will discuss the importance of the grant for the organization and the work being done.

🚧 Notice of Road Closure – For the replacement of the Pool Lake Culvert 🚧

Please be advised that South Lake Bernard Road will be closed Monday, October 26, 2026, until Monday, November 23, 2026, in between Addresses 1202 and 1182 due to a culvert replacement. We kindly ask the public to prepare for the lengthy road closure as there will be no through traffic during this time.

Strong Township Council

The Township of Strong Municipal Office and Landfill Site 1 (483 Forest Lake Rd) will be closed for the Labour Day Holiday on Monday, September 7, 2026. Landfill Site 2 (950 Muskoka Rd) will be closed Wednesday, September 9, 2026.

The next household hazmat day is Saturday, August 22nd from 10 am until 2 pm hosted by ARI at the Township of Strong Landfill Site1 - 483 Forest Lake Road, Sundridge. Please enter the Strong Landfill Site using Inlet Creek Road to dispose of hazmat items.

Notice is hereby given to the Municipal Electors of the Corporation of the Township of Strong, in the District of Parry Sound of the period during which Nomination Papers may be filed in the above Office of the Clerk for the purpose of the Municipal Elections, commencing on Friday, May 1st, 2026 and will continue during normal office hours until the close of Nominations on Friday, August 21st, 2026 at the hour of 2:00 o’clock in the afternoon.
