The Township of Strong is experiencing numerous washouts and flooding in multiple locations due to spring thaw and recent rainfall, with potentially more rain in the forecast. Our Public Works crew is working hard and monitoring conditions, addressing the most highly impacted areas first.

The following roads are impassable or wash over due to high water - Maple Valley Road, South Lake Bernard Road, Pevensey Road, North Horn Lake Road (valley portion), South Horn Lake Road, Kents Mill Road (Joly section), Adams/Hornibrook Road, Hill Valley Road, Union Street, Muskoka Road. Updates to follow as issues arise to keep the public informed. Please use extreme caution when driving, as water levels and road stability can quickly change.
Water is rising hourly so please use caution!
