The Township of Strong is experiencing numerous washouts and flooding in multiple locations due to spring thaw and recent rainfall, with potentially more rain in the forecast. Our Public Works crew is working hard and monitoring conditions, addressing the most highly impacted areas first.

The following roads are impassable or wash over due to high water: Rodeo Road, Black Creek Road, Pevensey Road (Kent's Mill Road), North Horn Lake Road, South Horn Lake Road, Maple Valley Road, South Lake Bernard Road (near Northridge Inn; Pool Lake Outlet; Glen Bernard Camp), Adams Rd/Hornibrook Road, Muskoka Road, Hill Valley Road, Union Street (Forest Lk Rd to Beach)
Updates to follow as issues arise to keep the public informed. Please use extreme caution when driving, as water levels and road stability can quickly change.
Water is rising hourly so please use caution!

If you require sand for sand bags please access the pile to the right outside the Strong Public Works main gate. For your safety please do not enter into the public works yard, as there is trucks and equipment being used in that area. For sand bag placement for flooding visit our
