Landfill #1 Open

(October 29, 2026) Please be advised that Landfill #1 - 483 Forest Lake Road will be open regular hours as of Friday, October 30th. Unfortunately construction waste, scrap metal and brush cannot be accepted at this time. The Township will provide notice when these items can be accepted.

Community Volunteers Needed

The Township of Strong is seeking members of the Strong Community to join the Sundridge-Strong-Joly Recreation Committee and the Sundridge-Strong Union Public Library to represent the Township of Strong for the 2026-2030 Term.
Recreation meetings are held once a month in the evening, plus community events; Library Board meetings are held once a month in the evening.

🚧 Notice of Road Closure – For the replacement of the Pool Lake Culvert 🚧

Please be advised that South Lake Bernard Road will be closed Monday, November 2nd, 2026, until Monday, November 30th, 2026, in between Addresses 1202 and 1182 due to a culvert replacement. We kindly ask the public to prepare for the lengthy road closure as there will be no through traffic during this time.
