Emergency Management
Municipal emergency management involves a legally required, risk-based program to prepare for, mitigate, respond to, and recover from disasters. Led by a Community Emergency Management Coordinator (CEMC) and an Emergency Control Group (ECG), municipalities must develop plans, conduct annual training, and maintain an Emergency Operations Centre to manage local crises.
Emergency Operations Center
The Emergency Operations Centre (EOC) is located in the lower level of the Strong Township Municipal Office. The center can be utilized in severe weather conditions and emergencies. The center is equipped with additional phone lines, media center, showers and space to accommodate emergency personnel and equipment.
Weather Forecast
It is important to take notice of weather warnings and to check your local weather forecast on an ongoing basis to ensure you are prepared for any emergencies.
