Dog Licensing
Dog Tags
All residents in the Township of Strong that owns a dog must license them by purchasing a dog tag or the owner will be subject to fines as setout in By-law 2016-009 . A maximum of 5 dogs is permitted per household, unless under 12 weeks old.
Registering a dog license
The Township of Strong only offers lifetime dog tags, there are no annual fees.
Dog licenses and payments by visa can be done and submitted online by completing the All-In-One Dog Tag License Form
You can also register a dog in person at the administration office located at 28 Municipal Lane, payments can be made by cash, cheque or debit at the office.

If the By-law Enforcement Officer picks up a dog running at large that does not have a dog tags, the dog will be transported to the humane society. The owner will then deal directly with the humane society and pay all associated cost to get their dog back, as well as pay all fines specified by the Township of Strong.
