Be it resolved that this Council does hereby adopt the following minutes as circulated:

Be it resolved that this Council does hereby approve payment of the Municipal Accounts for July 2002 in the amount of $72,209.79 Carried

Be it resolved that this Council does hereby approve payment of the CBO account for July 2002 in the amount of $688.85 CD
Council reviewed the Minutes of Settlement for Roll 4 030 03 and Roll 10 014 04 and accepted them as presented.
Council will write a letter to the Cook’s on Pool Lake regarding access at the Road Allowance and shore road allowance.

Be it resolved that this Council does hereby enact by-law #2002 – 1453 being a by-law to authorize a Loan for Eastholme having read the by-law the required readings Carried
Council reviewed a letter from Dan Richard of Fednor and answered the following questions: Would your municipality support the concept of a Regional initiative that will promote Economic, Business and Tourism Development in the Almaguin Highlands YES and Would your municipality contribute financially to the Regional Economic, Business and Tourism Development in the Almaguin Highlands with one invoice based on a per capita basis YES The answers will be faxed Aug.14.
Council reviewed a letter from CN regarding the spraying of pesticides etc.

Be it resolved that this Council does hereby support the proposed severance of the Rupert May property as set out in the attached drawing with a private road running the length of the property to Pool Lake Carried
Chris Ellis – Shawn Eddison
Be it resolved that this Council does hereby support the proposed severance of the McLaren Property as outlined in the attached drawing that fronts on Lake Bernard Carried

Be it resolved that this Council does hereby authorize the Clerk to attend the CRF workshop held in North Bay on September 10th2002 from 10 – 4 pm Carried

Be it resolved that this Council does hereby authorize Sharon Sohm to register for Unit 1 and Unit 2 of the Municipal Tax Administration Program at Seneca College at a cost of $350 per unit Carried

Be it resolved that this Council does hereby approve payment of the Road Accounts for July 2002 in the amount of $92,862.33. Carried – Merlyn Snow declared a conflict on the above resolution.

Be it resolved that this council does hereby take responsibility for the change in Guard Rail configuration at the Stirling Falls Bridge as outlined in the drawing attached .Carried

Be it resolved that this Council does hereby declare as surplus the 93 Autocar and that it be advertised in the Truck Trader to sell at the agreed upon price. Carried
Council reviewed the letter from Northland Engineering regarding the Pevensey Bridge update.

Be it resolved that this Council does hereby give first and second reading to the by-law to restrict firearms with amendments Carried

Be it resolved that this Council does hereby authorize that a 4 person team participate in the 2nd Callander Bay Golf Challenge on September 15th 2002 at $60 per person Carried
Council reviewed the resolution from the Village of Sundridge regarding the Caretaker pay of $50 per week for maintenance.
Council reviewed the correspondence from the Eastholme Board and from the Township of Armour regarding Eastholme.
Council reviewed the correspondence from Northern Shores District Health Council re: Nurse Practioner Project.
Council reviewed a letter regarding a property matter. The Clerk is to send a letter to the owner of the property.

Be it resolved that this Council does hereby support Cathy Still as our representative on the Burk’s Falls & District Health Centre Committee Carried

Be it resolved that this Council does hereby adopt the following Policy for the Web Page –
www.strongtownship.com:Business Listings on the Web Page will be at No Charge and Business Links with a pop up ad will be $25. for 2002. Carried
Shawn Eddison - John Newstead
Be it resolved that this Council does hereby acknowledge receipt of the 2001 Municipal Performance Measurement report and hereby authorize notifying the public and taxpayers by means of Next year’s newsletter to the ratepayers. Carried
Council reviewed the Medical Centre Budget. To be reviewed at the Tri-council meeting on August 20th 2002.
Reeve Rawn read two letters to Council from Ina Trolove. Council thank her for her interest in the community.

Be it resolved that this Council does hereby adjourn at 10:30 pm to meet again on August 27th 2002 at 7 pm or at the call of the Reeve. Carried
