Be it resolved that this Council does hereby appoint David Pringle as Roads Group Leader effective June 1st 2003 Carried
Be it resolved that this Council does hereby appoint Kevin Minor to assist the Roads Group Leader until July 1st/03 Carried
Be it resolved that this Council does hereby confirm that John Hornibrook be paid at the Permanent Part Time Rate for all hours worked. Carried
Be it resolved that this Council does hereby enact by-law #2003 – 1468 being a by-law to establish Banding for the Commercial and Industrial Property Classes and having read the By-law the Required Readings. Carried
After three months of review, the budget estimate was approved by council.
Be it resolved that this council does hereby enact by-law #2003 – 1471 being a by-law to adopt the 2003 budget estimates and tax rate by-law for all property classes for 2003 and having read the by-law for the third and final reading. Carried
Correspondence was reviewed from the Assoc. of Ontario Road Supervisors – Trade Show; Ontario Energy Board; Marshall Macklin, Monaghan, Bell Mobility (Generator at Brookside); Northland Engineering; Almaguin Music Festival.
Be it resolved that this council does hereby authorize the Clerk to proceed with Road Closing and conveyance at Con 1 Pt. Lot 31, more particularly being Part 5 on Plan 42R16343 in favour of the adjoining owner and hereby accept the Township Road being parts 2 and 4 of Plan 42R16343 in exchange. Carried
Be it resolved that this council does hereby authorize a donation of 13 T-shirts to the Nancy Arsenault Youth Ball Team Carried
Be it resolved that this Council does hereby petition the Facility Management Section of the OPP that they consider locating the Almaguin Highlands OPP new Detachment Building in the Sundridge/Strong area. Carried
Be it resolved that this Council does hereby appoint Betty McLaren to the Recreation Committee effective May 27/03 CD
Be it resolved that this Council does hereby approve WJB Consulting Services to conduct a joint Sundridge and Strong Simplified Risk Assessment according to guidelines on Municipal Fire Protection PFSG 04 40A 12 and 3 at a cost of $3500 CD
Be it resolved that this Council does hereby approve the estimate supplied by R & R Logging at a quote of $5910 for work around the Municipal office building. Carried
Be it resolved that this council does hereby accept the quote from Gavin Electric to install the Electric Service to accommodate a generator in the amount of $1096.75 Carried
Be it resolved that this council does hereby accept the quote for gravel crushing by Whitmell Sand & Gravel in the amount of $4.60 plus PST/GST Carried
Be it resolved that this Council does hereby adjourn at 10:20pm to meet again on June 10th 2003 at 5:30 pm or at the call of the Reeve. CD
