Township of Strong
WHEREAS Section 208.2 and 208.6(b) and Section 326 of the Municipal Act, 2001 provides that the Council of a municipality may by by-law prescribe a tariff of fees and collection process of these fees.
NOW THEREFORE THE COUNCIL OF
THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWNSHIP OF STRONG DOES HEREBY ENACT AS FOLLOWS:
1.
The following Tipping Fee
Schedule for Land Fill #1 is for WASTE GENERATED within the boundaries of the
Township of Strong, The Village of Sundridge and the Township of Joly ONLY:
a) Fee for a Tandem Truck Load of Sorted waste by Local Contractors $150.00
b) Fee for a Tri-axle Truck or Bin sorted waste by Local Contractor $250.00
c) Fee for sorted shingles/roofing
material by owner/local contractor 1/2
ton truck $100.00
d) Fee for sorted shingles/roofing
material by owner/local contractor – utility
trailer $100.00
e) Fee for sorted shingles/roofing material by owner/local contractor-tandem trailer $250.00
f) Fee for sorted shingles/roofing material by owner/local contractor-tandem truck $500.00
g) Fee for sorted shingles/roofing material by outside contractor-1/2 ton truck $200.00
h) Fee for sorted shingles/roofing material by outside contractor-utility trailer $200.00
i) Fee for sorted shingles/roofing material by outside contractor-tandem trailer $350.00
j) Fee for sorted shingles/roofing material by outside contractor-tandem truck $600.00
k) Fee for a Tandem truck Load of Sorted Waste by outside Contractors $300.00
l) Fee for a Tri-axle Truck or Bin Sorted Waste hauled by Outside Contractor $500.00
m) Fee for half ton load of Asbestos
disposed per MOE Regulation $100.00
n) Fee for a Tandem Trailer Load of Asbestos-Disposed per MOE Regulation $350.00
o) Fee for a Tandem Load of Contaminated Soil – Local property
$450.00
p) Fee for a Tri-axle Truck Load of Contaminated Soil-Local property $900.00
Tipping Fee for the disposal of an appliance with freon (Freezer/Fridge) $

r) Land Fill Gate Cards: Township of Strong households $ 5.00
s) Replacement Land Fill Gate Cards –
Township of Strong Households $ 10.00
t) Land Fill Gate Cards: Township of Joly and the Village of Sundrige $

u) Replacements Land Fill Gate Cards-
Twp. Of Joly & Village of Sundridge $ 20.00
v) Fee to Reactivate Cards that were
deactivated due to misuse $
50.00
w) Land Fill Card for landowners that
purchase Trailer Licences in Strong/Joly $
20.00
with
a refund of $10 if card turned in on the expiry of Trailer Licence

The
by-law shall be Posted in the Municipal Office Foyer for Public Inspection; on
the web page – by-law & coming events page
3.
Collection
of the prescribed fee outlined above and as authorized under section 326 of the
Municipal Act, 2001 may be recovered in a like manner as municipal taxes.
4.
It
is the policy of Council that (1) One
Land Fill Gate card be issued per household in the Township of Strong and
Joly and the Village of Sundridge for those who apply for the Card.
5. This by-law shall be in full force and
effective on October 1st 2007
and by-law 1493 is hereby repealed.
