BY-LAW #2005 – 1512

BEING a By-law to Continue participation in the

District Emergency Fire Services Plan and Program

WHEREAS Section 467, Part XVII of the Municipal Act, 2001 authorizes the councils of local municipalities to continue the agreement to participate in an Emergency Fire Services Plan and Program for the District;

NOW THEREFORE the Council of the Corporation of the Township of Strong does hereby enact as follows:

1. That the Township of Strong Fire Department is hereby authorized to leave the limits of the Municipality or Fire Area, at the discretion of the Fire Chief or his/her designate and under the direction of the District Fire Co-ordinator to respond to calls for assistance from other Municipal Fire Departments authorized to participate in the District Emergency Fire Services Plan and Program or any other Regional District or County Emergency Fire Services Plan and Program on a reciprocal basis.

2. In case the provisions of this by-law conflict with the provisions of any other by-law, the provisions of this by-law shall prevail.

3. By-law 97 – 1358 is hereby repealed.
