THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWNSHIP OF STRONG

BY-LAW 2003 - 1473

 

 

TO APPOINT A CLERK, DEPUTY-TREASURER

 

 

WHEREAS Section 228(1), 253, 286(2) 288 (2) and 436 of the Municipal Act, SO 2001 C25, Part VI require the Council to appoint a Clerk and a Deputy-Treasurer;

 

NOW THEREFORE the Council of the Corporation of the Township of Strong does hereby enact as follows:

 

1.                  Diana Georgie is hereby appointed Clerk and Deputy – Treasurer of the Corporation of the Township of Strong

2.                  In Addition to the duties required to be performed under any Statute, Diana Georgie shall perform such other duties as may be assigned from time to time by resolution or by-law of Council.

3.                  Diana Georgie shall be paid a salary as outlined in By-law 2003-1461 for the year 2003 and thereafter until such time as a new salary is established. 

4.                  The Salary payable to Diana Georgie under Section 3 shall be payment in full for all services and duties performed as Clerk and Deputy-Treasurer.  Any and all fees collected by virtue of the office of Clerk and Deputy – Treasurer or any Act or Regulation shall be paid to the Corporation and be credited to the General Funds of the Corporation.

5.                  By-law 89-1211 being a by-law to appoint a Clerk-Treasurer and Tax Collector is hereby repealed.

6.                  This By-law shall take effect July 1st 2003
