Be it resolved that this Council does hereby appoint John Newstead to fill the vacancy on council by swearing the “Oath of Office of Councillor”                            Carried

Be it resolved that this Council does hereby adopt the following minutes as circulated:

Be it resolved that this Council does hereby support resolution #2007/05/183 from the Municipality of Callander and ask that the Minister of Health & Long – Term Care to investigate why the Cancer drug Erbitux is not covered by OHIP.  Carried

 

John Newstead - Merlyn Snow

Be it resolved that this Council does hereby approve that agendas for the committee/board meetings be available for the members at least 4 days before the meeting date.     Carried          cc Village of Sundridge and the Township of Joly

 

Chris Ellis – Vi Montpetit

Be it resolved that this Council does hereby enact by-law 2007 – 1543 being a by-law to decrease the speed limit on High Rock Drive Con 5 – MNR Bridge to 50 km per hour for 500 m before and after the bridge and having read the by-law the required three readings.                                Carried                               cc Steve Taylor, MNR;  Road Superintendant.

 

Merlyn Snow – Vi Montpetit

Be it resolved that this Council does hereby enact by-law 2007 1544 being a by-law to set the 2007 final tax rate based on the estimates of $2,076,234 and having read the by-law the required readings.                Carried

 

Vi Montpetit - Chris Ellis

Be it resolved that this Council does hereby enact by-law 2007 1545 being a by-law to establish the proceedings of council, the conduct of its members and the calling of meetings to comply with Bill 130 and having read the by-law the required readings. Carried

 

Merlyn Snow - Chris Ellis

Be it resolved that this Council does hereby enact by-law 2007 1546 being a by-law to establish policies for the sale of real property to comply with Bill 130 and having read the by-law the required readings.                                Carried

 

Vi Montpetit - Merlyn Snow

Be it resolved that this Council does hereby approve payment of a donation of $100 plus a T-shirt to Lym Campos re:  Senior National Judo Championship                      Carried

 

Vi Montpetit - Merlyn Snow

Be it resolved that this Council does hereby approve a donation to the Strong Cemetery for projects to upgrade the cemetery in the amount of $1250                Carried
