Be it resolved that this Council does hereby adopt the following minutes of meetings as circulated:

• Council meeting August 14^th 2007
• CAPB meeting of August 15^th 2007
• SSJ Arena meeting of Aug.9.07 Carried

Vi Montpetit – John Newstead

Be it resolved that this Council does hereby approve the purchase of the shore road allowance fronting these properties:

• Con 13 Pt. Lot 1 and 2 PSR 1996 – Part 26, 27, 28 and 28 – Cheer Lake

The usual process and requirements shall be followed. Carried

A report was given on the Emergency meeting the mayor and fire chief had with DSSAB personnel. A letter is to be sent to MNR re: Agent to control Nuisance Wildlife at Land Fill #1. Invitation to General meeting of the Ontario’s Near North Travel Asso. Sep.19.07; Two letters re: Water Source Protection Committee – to be answered; Discussion on two street lights to be installed on High St. will write Lakeland – RBC – New a/c Mgr.; ZBL – existing undersized lot; Thank you from Carissa MacIntosh;

Be it resolved that this Council does hereby authorize attendance at the October 1^st 2007 Fall meeting of the District of Parry Sound Municipal assoc to be held at Carling Township Recreation Hall at 319 Hwy #559, west of 69 and North of Parry Sound at $20 per person for: Chris Ellis; Stephen R. Rawn; Vi Montpetit; John Newstead and Sharon Sohm. Carried

Merlyn Snow – John Newstead

Be it resolved that this Council does hereby authorize the sale of Sand Fill at the rate of $2.00 per cubic yard Loaded - by making an appointment with the roads department to load the fill. The large stones at Land Fill #1 can be picked up for $100 per tandem truck load. Carried

Chris Ellis – John Newstead

Be it resolved that this Council does hereby agree to hire Tera Kincaid as Office Assistant for the Municipal office for a one year contract – full time and full time benefits effective September 4^th 2007 at the current rate of pay subject to review January 2008. Carried

Chris Ellis - Merlyn Snow

Be it resolved that this Council does hereby support the resolution from North Grenville regarding the metering of private wells and we hereby petition the Provincial Government that Draft Regulation 903 under the Ontario Water Resourses Act be amended and remove private water wells from the regulation as well as monitoring (leacheate) wells and Land Fill sites. Carried Send to other municipalities.

Be it resolved that this Council does hereby adjourn at 8:30 pm to meet again on September 11^th 2007 at 5:30 pm or at the call of the Mayor. Carried
