Be it resolved that this Council does hereby adopt the minutes of meetings as circulated:

Joint Building committee meeting of Mar. 22.07;  Financial Statement & CBO Report                    Carried

Be it resolved that this Council does hereby approve payment of the Accounts as follows:  Municipal/Roads $393,353.41; Payroll $49,677.71; SSJ Arena – 2nd Levy $16,387.50                                                                                              Carried

Be it resolved that this Council does hereby approve the 2007 Budget for the Joint Building Committee                Carried

Be it resolved that this Council does hereby approve the 4 day work week from April 30th to Nov. 2/07 for the Roads Dept and the 2007 vacation requests for the Roads Department and the Administrative offices.                                   Carried

 

Prices for the purchase of council business cards and Name Tags will be brought to the next council meeting.

Be it resolved that this Council does hereby agree to hire R. A. Young to complete a Pay Equity Plan and the Salary Administration Program.                                                                                                                                                                Carried

 

Steering meeting reviewed and next meeting is Thursday April 26th 2007 at Burk’s Falls

Be it resolved that this Council does hereby support the resolution that the Municipality of Magnetawan has passed regarding the criteria used in determining the sustainability of small rural Ontario schools.                                                   Carried

 

Vi Montpetit - Merlyn Snow

Be it resolved that this Council does hereby authorize the clerk to proceed with the minor variance A4 – 2006 to increase lot coverage from 5% to 10%                                                                                                                                                             Carried

 

Council reviewed the letter from Roberta Sarginson, Jim Stickland and Ms Innes regarding the 1970 Agreement signed by Don & Dennis Boyes with regard to bringing the subdivision roads up to MTO Suburban Area Standards with no charge to the Township of Strong.  This has never been fulfilled and now there is another severance.  The matter will be forwarded to the Planning Board.

A proposal to sever two 1 ha lots at 444 Albert St. N. was reviewed and approved by council in principle.

Council reviewed the 2007 Building permit summary to March 31st 2007

A meeting has been set for the EMO Magnetawan Sector for June 4th 10 am to 3 pm in Powassan at the Sportsplex.

Council reviewed the Road Projects for the future and that the funding from Gas Tax will be applied for to fund these projects.

Review support staff at the municipal office.

Be it resolved that this Council does hereby authorize the Treasurer to draw $10,000 for the Joint Building Committee as an interim payment on the Line of Credit previously approved.                                                                                              Carried

Be it resolved that this Council does hereby adjourn at 9:30 pm to meet again on April 24th 2007 or at the call of the Mayor.
