The Township of Strong has received funding under the Building Canada Fund and Infrastructure Ontario for the Municipal office renovation project and Parks Improvement project.
Parks Update
Legion Park will see new park benches and picnic tables installed along with a walkbridge over the culvert and a bear statue has been installed to recognize the bear mascot that the l62nd battalion had while in Sundridge.
Checkerboard Park will see new picnic tables, a floating raft installed.
South Lake Bernard Park will have new picnic tables, benches, playground equipment, swings and teeter totter installed, and a larger boat ramp installed and a floating raft.
Union Beach will have picnic table installed,
Stirling Creek – will have picnic table and benches installed
Sunny Ridge – will have picnic table and benches
Pool Lake – will indicate boat launch area
Signs will be in place at the various parks indicating beach areas available for public use.
