Council held a special meeting on June 14, 2010 at 5:30 p.m. in Council Chambers to discuss the 2010 Municipal Budget.

Two scenarios of tax rates were reviewed with options referring to reserves and overall tax rates. Council agreed on scenarios one which represented an approximate 5% increase in general taxation. Some items in the budget had revisions made to 2010 amounts.

Mr. Lyle Thorne made a presentation to council regarding landscaping around the municipal office.

The following resolutions were passed:

2010-0115 Chris Ellis – Vi Montpetit:

Therefore Be It Resolved that the Township of Strong does hereby accept the Landscaping Proposal from Hillcrest Perennials in the amount of $ 24,845.00 plus taxes for landscaping at the municipal office. Carried

2010-0116 Merlyn Snow – Chris Ellis:

Therefore be it resolved that the Township of Strong does hereby adjourn at 6:50 p.m. until the next regular meeting of Council on June 22, 2010. Carried
