Penny Stoker attended the meeting to discuss her severance. Penny provided council with an updated survey of the property to be severed for their review.
Bill and Sue Ayotte attended the meeting to discuss road closures for the Triathlon weekend with council. A resolution was passed by council.
Mr. & Mrs. Savoia attend the meeting to discuss a request to use the unopened road allowance along the Pevensey Road to access part of their property as they would like to apply for a severance. Council had some concerns and requested they provide more details and attend another council meeting to discuss their plans for the property.
Road Superintendant Dave Pringle attended the meeting to provide council with an update on roads and work in progress.

Therefore Be It Resolved that the Township
of Strong adopt the Minutes of the June 22, 2010 meeting and the Special
Meeting of Council – July 9, 2010 as circulated. Carried

Therefore be it resolved that council approves necessary road
closures for the Triathlon on August 15, 2010 as required provided residents,
police, fire and ambulance personnel are notified of closures. Carried

Therefore Be It Resolved that the Township of Strong have reviewed the survey drawings as presented for Part 1, Part of Lot 20, Concession 10 part of 52077-0215(LT) in reference to Severance File B021-10 and note that the newly created severed lot will not meet the current Zoning By-law Requirements;
Council will accept the draft survey as presented. Carried

Therefore Be it Resolved that the Township of Strong have reviewed
and approve the Consent Application B-025/10 as presented by the Southeast
Parry Sound District Planning Board provided all standard conditions are met. Carried

presented by Carl & Linda Barry to apply for a Deeming By-Law for Lot 27,
28, 29, and 30 on Plan M42 and authorize the Clerk/Treasurer to prepare the

of Strong accept the tender from Bay Glass & Contracting in the amount of $
1526.00 plus applicable taxes for the installation of a clear tempered glass
counter partition. Carried

Therefore Be It Resolved that the Township
of Strong accept the tender to purchase Surplus Property from: Stephen
Robichaud in the amount of $ 10,500.00
and hereby authorize the Clerk/Treasurer to proceed with the sale of the

Therefore Be It Resolved that the Township
of Strong make a donation in the amount of $350.00 to the Almaguin Lions
Football Team. Carried
2010-0137 J. D. Newstead – Chris Ellis:
Therefore Be It Resolved that the Township of Strong approve the Report of Livestock Valuer as presented from David Sinclair regarding a report of Livestock killed by a predator at Lot 11, Concession 9 Township of Strong and approve the payment of $150.00;
And that the Township of Strong submit our claim to the Ministry of Agriculture for reimbursement.

Therefore Be It Resolved that the Township of Strong have reviewed the quotation from McLaren Builders to construct the Front Entrance Canopy and Deck in the amount of $ 12,600.00 ; which is part of Tender cost.
And that council approves the changes to
the original drawings. Carried
