THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWNSHIP OF
STRONG
BY-LAW NO. 2011-006
Being a By-law to amend By-law No.
93-1307 as amended, the Zoning By-law for the Township of Strong with respect
to lands legally described as Part 3, Parcel 23108, RP 42R-10101, located in Part
of Lot 24, Concession 12, in the Township of Strong, District of Parry Sound.
WHEREAS the Council of
the Corporation of the Township of Strong is empowered to pass By-laws to
regulate the use of land pursuant to Section 34 of the Planning Act, R.S.O. 1990.
AND WHEREAS the owner of
the subject land has submitted an application to rezone the subject lands to
recognize the location of an existing bus storage and maintenance yard;
AND WHEREAS the Council of
the Corporation of the Township of Strong deems it advisable to amend By-Law
93-1307 as amended;
NOW THEREFORE the
Council of the Corporation of the Township of Strong enacts as follows:
1.
Schedule ‘A’, to Zoning By-law No.
93-1307 as amended, is hereby further amended by zoning lands described as Part
3, Parcel 23108, RP 42R-10101, located in Part of Lot 24, Concession 12, in the
Township of Strong from the Rural (RU) Zone to the Rural Exception (RU-12) Zone
as shown on Schedule ‘A-1’ attached hereto and forming
part of this By-law.

And further, Section 4.4.4 to Zoning
By-law No. 93-1307 as amended, is hereby further amended by adding the
following new subsection after Section 4.4.11:
4.4.12 Rural Exception (RU-12) Zone
Notwithstanding the regulations and permitted uses
in the Rural (RU) Zone to the contrary, on lands within the Rural Exception
(RU-12) Zone, the following additional uses shall be permitted only as
accessory uses to a detached dwelling:
1. A
school bus storage and maintenance yard; and,
2. A
motor vehicle inspection station certified by the Ministry of Transportation
for the exclusive purpose of inspecting and certifying school buses.
In addition, the following provisions shall apply to
a school bus and storage yard:
a) Maximum Number of School Buses - 25
b) Maximum Floor Area of Maintenance Building – 110
m2
Furthermore lands located within the RU-12 Zone
shall be subject to a Development Agreement with the Township of Strong.
3. In
all other respects the provisions of By-law 93-1307, as amended, shall apply.
This
By-law shall come into effect upon the date of passage hereof, subject to the
provisions of Section 34 (30) and (31) of the Planning Act (Ontario).
