The Invitation Tender Quotes were opened and reviewed by council.

Chris Ellis – Merlyn Snow

Be it resolved that this council does hereby NOT accept ANY Quotes for tender #11302 for the Strong Machar Townline Road Construction Project due to the high prices and based on Engineer comments. Carried

Vi Montpetit – John Newstead

Be it resolved that this council does hereby downsize the Machar Strong Boundary Road project to 1000 cy shotrock to fill in the washout and 50 cy Gran A Gravel with equipment to complete the washout work. Quotes are requested from the two low biders: McLaren and Bruman and Lee Webster of Sundridge Aggregates – due March 2^nd, 2009 at 3:30 pm. Carried

Be it resolved that this council does hereby authorize the closure of Hill Valley Rd at the intersection of Albert St N for a period of 18 days beginning with the week of March 2^nd 2009. Carried

Be it resolved that this council does hereby adjourn at 1:30 pm to meet again on March 2^nd 2009 at 4:00 pm Carried

The Quotes for the downsized Machar/Strong Boundary Road Washout project were reviewed and are as follows:

Bruman Leasing $49,090; McLaren Bros $23,296; Sundridge Aggregates $19,600

Be it resolved that this council does hereby accept the quote for the downsized project: Machar Strong Boundary Rd to 1000 cy shotrock to fill in the washout and 50 by Gran A with the equipment to complete the washout work by March 13^th 2009 from Sundridge Aggregates at a total price of $19,600 + PST & GST Carried

Be it resolved that this Council does hereby purchase (1) One New Nexgen Gemini Extrene Closed End Baler at a quoted price of $67,980 with the above ground conveyor $16,500; Freight & Install $8000; Roto Phase Single to 3 phase $4000; Discount ($3800) Exchange Rate at 25% $20,170 – Total $112,850. This Resolution will serve as our Purchase Order for the equipment described herein. Carried
