A By-law to Set Tax Ratios for Municipal Purposes for the Year 2009

WHEREAS the Municipal Act, 2001. Chapter 25, S308 requires Council of the Corporation of the Township of Strong to establish the tax ratios for 2009 for the Township of Strong;

AND WHEREAS the Tax Ratios determine the relative amount of taxation to be borne by each property class;

NOW THEREFORE THE COUNCIL OF THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWNSHIP OF STRONG DOES HEREBY ENACT AS FOLLOWS:

1. That for the taxation year 2009, the tax ratio for property in:

a) the residential/farm and multi-residential property class is 1.0000

b) the commercial and industrial occupied property class is 1.1000

c) the Pipeline property class is (Reg 234/06 ) .816426

d) the farmlands and managed forest property class is .2500

e) the commercial vacant property class is .7000

f) the industrial vacant property class is .6500

2. That this by-law shall come into force and take effect on the day of the final passing thereof.

3. That by-law 2008-1572 and all previous tax ratio by-laws are hereby repealed
