THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWNSHIP OF STRONG
BY-LAW 2008 -

TO APPOINT A DEPUTY-TREASURER,
DEPUTY-CLERK
TAX COLLECTOR
WHEREAS Section 228(2), 286(1) and 288 of the Municipal Act, SO 2001 C25, Part VI requires the Council
to appoint a Deputy - Treasurer and a
Deputy-Clerk;
AND WHEREAS Section 290; 291; 292; 293;
294; 295 299 and 301 of the Municipal Act, S0 2001 C25, Part VI outlines the
statutory duties of the Deputy - Treasurer; Deputy Clerk & Tax Collector
NOW THEREFORE the Council of the Corporation of the Township of Strong does hereby enact as follows:
1. Tera Kincaid is hereby appointed Deputy - Treasurer and Deputy – Clerk and Tax Collector of the Corporation of the Township of Strong
2.
In
Addition to the duties required to be performed under any Statute, Tera Kincaid
shall perform such other duties as may be assigned from time to time by
resolution or by-law of Council.
3.
Tera
Kincaid shall be paid a wage (32.5 hrs per week)for the remainder of year 2008
under Pay Equity Plan – Step 1 Category 7 and thereafter until such time as a
new wage is established.
4.
The
Wage payable to Tera Kincaid under Section 3 shall be payment in full for all
services and duties performed as Deputy - Treasurer and Deputy-Clerk. Any and all fees collected by virtue of the
office of Deputy - Treasurer and Deputy – Clerk or any Act or Regulation shall
be paid to the Corporation and be credited to the General Funds of the
Corporation.
5.
This
By-law shall take effect March 31st 2008
