BEING a By-law to appoint the Deputy Fire Chief

For the Township of Strong Fire Department

WHEREAS it is deemed necessary to appoint the Deputy Fire Chief for the Township of Strong Fire Department;

AND WHEREAS the Council of the Corporation of the Township of Strong have enacted by-law #2006- 1526 to establish a Fire Department.

NOW THEREFORE the Council of the Corporation of the Township of Strong Enacts as Follows:

1. That the Council of the Corporation of the Township of Strong hereby appoints Jim Schmidt as Deputy Fire Chief as delegated by the Fire Chief under Section 6 (6) of the Fire Protection and Prevention Act, 1997, commencing on February 12^th 2008 and he shall not be discharged of his duties without just cause and only after a hearing before the Council.

2. By-law #2005 - 1498 is hereby repealed.
